Ag Business Feature: Irrigation Matters with California Farmers

With California suffering from a historic drought, California Farmers are looking for ways to better manage and maintain their irrigation needs.

Providing a variety of irrigation services, Irrigation Matters is a company based in Tulare, California that is expanding into the Northern California Market by offering unique technologies to help farmers manage irrigation systems and water quality.

“We have a great system that provides farmers with the opportunity to manage their fields remotely,” said Anthony Chesini, Northern California Irrigation Accounts Manager for Irrigation Matters, “Our ‘Eyes Under the Soil’ program allows farmers to irrigate the right amount at the right time.”

Chesini commented that the program monitors soil, plant and weather conditions.

“It allows the farmer to make on the fly decisions on when to irrigate and when to cut back,” said Chesini.

Irrigation Matters also offers specialized products and services that help farmers with improving their water chemistry. Additionally, overtime the application of water treatments can cause buildup in irrigations lines causing uneven distribution in the fields and Irrigation Matters offers a variety of System Maintenance solutions to help their irrigation lines run at optimum performance.

“We will be available at the Colusa County Farm Show where we will provide farmers with a water chemistry report,” said Chesini, “Bring your water sample or get a sample bottle from us.”

“We want farmers to come see who we are and what we have to offer,” said Chesini.
