Colusa Senior Hosts Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Walk

Cutler Lepper, a Senior at Colusa High, dedicated his senior project to raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis; a disease known all too well to Lepper.

With his efforts supported by School Nurse, Barbara Hankins, Lepper has arranged an Awareness Walk that will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016. Registration opens at 9:00 AM and the walk to begin promptly at 10:00 AM at the Colusa High School track.

Lepper credits his mother for inspiring him to her continued efforts to get out there every day, despite the disease she is up against.

“She should be worried about herself, but she doesn’t. She worries about other people on a daily basis,” said Lepper.

During the walk, Lepper encourages everyone to wear the color orange, or sport an orange ribbon.

“The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis; however, anyone wanting to make a donation can purchase raffle tickets for great prizes,” said Lepper.

The raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the two-hour event.

All proceeds and donations raised by the event will go directly to the Multiple Sclerosis Association Of America.
