According to Chief Osborne, on Friday, March 4, 2016, a Williams Business owner contacted a Williams Police Officer to Report their business had been burglarized.
The glass door of the businesses was shattered, and forced entry was gained into the business where merchandise was stolen. It was estimated the damage to the business was more than $950.
“During the investigation, officers discovered evidence that revealed a suspect,” said Chief Osbourn.
The suspect was later identified as 20-year-old, Edgar Alfonso Ortiz, Williams.
Officers contacted Ortiz at his residence and was arrested without incident. He was booked into Colusa County Jail for felonious vandalism and misdemeanor commercial burglary.
