The Colusa Certified Farmers Market opened last week, and featured over 15 vendors offering honey, baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, plants and much more.

Market Street Grill is a new addition to the Colusa Farmers Market.

“We had great success in Arbuckle and was asked to participate here at the Colusa Market,” said Market Street Grill owner, Diane Schuman.

Schuman commented that they will offer unique menu each week.

“We will only be serving during the weeks there isn’t a concert in the park,” said Schuman.

Colusa Certified Farmers Market Manager, Jennifer Diaz commented that she was excited to have Market Street Grill available during the market.

Even California Governor, Jerry Brown made an appearance and purchased a few items before heading to his homestead in Western Colusa County.

“Jennifer was a great tour guide to Governor Brown, he went away with a lot of Colusa grown items,” said Colusa County Supervisor John Loudon D2, “Great job Jennifer!”

Diaz commented that this year she plans to have a variety of vendors each week and has added a few new features.

“We have a weekly newsletter that will share what is happening that week with the market,” said Diaz.
