Happy Thanksgiving

The First Presbyterian Church in Colusa is gearing up to hold their annual Thanksgiving Day meal starting at 11 AM.

“If you don’t want to cook, or you find yourself by yourself, come join us for a delicious feast,” said event coordinator Robin Rauch.

Available to anyone looking for a warm meal and good company, the free dinner is served up in the church hall at 4th and Jay Streets in Colusa.

In previous years, the event has fed over 80 people.

“We’re on track with donations this year and it looks like it’s going to be quite the feast,” said Rauch. “However, we need desserts.”

Rauch commented that desserts can be dropped off at the church between 9 AM and 11 AM.

Keeping with the giving tradition, over 20 meals will be delivered to the Eskaton Jaconetti Manor in Colusa. However, the dinner will be dine-in only.

“We won’t be allowing take-outs this year,” said Rauch.

Looking to help volunteer? Rauch commented that volunteers are needed and welcomed.

“You can come help serve, prep, it’s up to you,” said Rauch.

“Come share this wonderful day with us,” said Rauch.

Hickel commented the canned food drives will conclude on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
