Edith Mary Kelley (1920-2016)

obit-edith-kelleyEdith Mary Kelley, 95, formerly of Colusa, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016, at The Fountains in Yuba City.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church in Colusa, at 10 AM.

Edith, affectionately known by all as Grammy, was born on November 19, 1920, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Mary Margaret Jones and Charles Louis West. She attended school in Shelton, Washington, where she met and later married Forest Selwin Kelley in 1940. She was a homemaker until World War II when she became a welder and worked ion the naval shipyards in Bremerton, Washington. Following the War, after many movies, she and her family settled in Colusa. She enjoyed gardening and baking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest, her daughter Pat Kelley Day, and grandson Kevin Corralejo.

Grammy is survived by her daughters Jo Kelley Koch (John), Katy Kelley Myers (Bruce), Frances Kelley Austin (Doug), grandchildren Stephen Corralejo (Chris), Mark Corralejo, Jenny Day Lucero (Mike), Joe Koch (Kristina), Tom Myers (Lillian), Rebecca Myers Finnen (Ryan), Dan Myers and his fiancé Chrissy Smith, Tim Myers, Kelley Austin, Amanda Austin Keithley (Daniel), and eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Julian Delgado, Doreen Kumar, Pastor Tom Tripp, and Rideout Hospice Care. ‚Ė†
