With over 315 vendors, Howard commented that the show has opened an additional 40 extra vendor spaces in the north east corner of the fairgrounds and added a new tented area next to the main exhibit hall.
“The tented area is for the smaller vendors who bring something unique to the show,” said Howard. “It also adds shade and cover from the elements.”
Cover may be needed as weather reports forecast clouded skies and the possible chance of rain during the Farm Show, but that shouldn’t spoil the fun.
Howard commented that he was impressed with the number of technology-type companies at this year’s show.
“We have a lot of technology this year,” he said. “It’s crazy how technology has advanced. They have tractors that are self driven by GPS, advanced laser leveling and drones are being used to inspect and manage farmland.”
In addition to the hundreds of vendors, the show provides an opportunity for agriculturalists to be informed on the topics and technologies in their industry.
“We have some really good speakers in our seminars this year,” said Howard. “We cover topics from safety, technology in agriculture, as well as new laws and regulation. You can even learn how to become better farm managers.”
