Nearly 200 participated in the Arbuckle Little League’s Hit-a-Thon on Sunday.
Each participant collected pledges and received a number of pitches to hit during the event.
The funds raised will be earmarked towards the construction of a double batting cage, and the purchase of 30 new bats for next season.
The organization relies on its fundraisers and community organizations who step up to help.
“Just this year Mike Shahan Construction poured a new concrete pad for the BBQ area, and Charter Oaks will be building a custom shade structure for the area,” said ALL President, Jason Gibbons. “The amount of volunteers and donations from the community is incredible.”
