Grimes Ladies Aid  to host Dinner and Bazaar

The Grimes Ladies Aid Society will host its Annual Dinner and Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Grand Island Elementary School, beginning at 5 PM.

Guests will enjoy a delicious Turkey and Ham Dinner served with all the trimmings. Dinner Tickets are just $12 for Adults and $5 for Children ages 6 to 12, and Free for Children 5 and under.

The Grimes Ladies Aid and several Grimes volunteers work hard to make the event delightful.

With dinner, Bazaar booths will begin selling at 5 PM and will include linens, crafts, Christmas Items, Boutique Items, and mystery packages for all ages. A Country Store with local produce, baked goods, candies, and jellies will also be available.

The Grimes Civic Association will sponsor a raffle table and is excited to again offer a quilt for the raffle.

The Grimes Ladies Aid, organized in 1901, has hosted the annual dinner and bazaar. Since its inception, the event a staple and wonderful small-town celebration shared by the entire community of Grimes and its neighbors.  The public is invited to attend this once a year fund-raiser.

Proceeds from the event help preserve the beautiful Grimes Community Church, built in 1875, and maintain the Grimes Scout Cabin. The group also provides support for the school and various community needs.
