Raymond Francis Manville (1926-2017)

Raymond Francis Manville passed away on Feb. 9, 2017, at the age of 90.

Ray was born on May 5, 1926 in Colusa to John Raymond and Mathilda (Meier) Manville.

Ray graduated from Colusa High School and Yuba College. He served in the U.S. Army in W.W. II.

Ray was an auto mechanic for most of his life, and retired as service manager from Sankey Auto.

After retirement, he and his wife Helen moved to the Bay Area, where he restored houses with his stepdaughter, Elaine.

Ray and Helen moved back to Colusa after the 1989 earthquake, and he worked for Dan Yerxa.

Ray loved to hunt and fish. Except for spending time with his family, he was most happy at a trout stream or ditch bank, with his fishing pole and a six-pack.

Ray is survived by his wife Helen Manville, of Woodland; son Bill Manville and daughter Donna Mahorney, of Colusa; stepdaughters Elaine Cook, of Navato, Ginger Landon, of Baytown, Texas, and Carol Cecerre, of Sacramento; grandchildren Samantha, Joey, Jessica and Dana Mahorney, and Zack and Brett Manville; step-grandchildren Axis Jimenez and Tracy Sinclair; three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 10 AM to Noon, followed by funeral services at McNary Moore, 107 Fifth St., Colusa.
