Emma Sue Dean (1942-2017)


Emma Sue Dean, 74, of Williams, passed away on October 22, 2017. She was born, November 9, 1942, in Oklahoma.

Emma spent 70 years of her life in Colusa County where she raised three daughters.

Emma is survived by her daughters Linda (Raul) Lopez, of Arbuckle; Nancy Deniz, of Williams. Brothers, Andy Gillespie, of New Mexico; and Jimmie Gillespie of San Bernardino. Sisters, Pauline Young, of Oregon; Nellie Vesper, of Fremont, NE; and Darlene Edwards, of Colusa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan Lopez, Nicolas Ericksen, Ryan Dean, and Michaela Dean; and great-grandchildren Lillianna Lopez, Abigail Lopez, and Robert Monroy

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billie Dean, and a daughter Cindy Dean.

Visitation will be held at the Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond Street in Yuba City from 4 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Williams Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Emma’s name to the Williams Fire Department, PO Box 755, Williams, CA 95987.
