Notice to Bidders: City of Williams – 2018 Intersection Improvement Project

Notice to Contractors is hereby given

The City of Williams (“City”) will receive sealed envelope bids only for the 2018 Intersection Improvement Project at City of Williams City Hall, 810 E Street, Williams, CA 95987 no later than May 2, 2018 @ 2:00 PM, at which time or thereafter said bids may be read aloud. Bids shall be valid for 90 calendar days after the bid opening date.

General work for this project consists of:

  • Grind and overlay sections identified in plans and as directed by the City Engineer.
  • Construct/Replace ADA Ramps as shown on plans
  • Install temporary Changeable Message Signs (CMS)
  • Install pavement markings as shown on plans
  • Install stop signs as shown on plans

Bids must be submitted on the City’s Bid Forms and meet the bidding requirements.

Bidding requirements, bid forms, plans and specifications for this project can be obtained at the Valley Contractors Exchange website and at CALBX California Builders Exchange.

Please direct any project questions to Trin Campos, at email no later than 7 calendar days before bid opening.

The City of Williams hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation.

The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s), shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, but are not limited to the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors.

Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor’s license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: Class A license or a combination of license classes required for all work at the time this contract is awarded.

Award of Contract: The City shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsible bidder as determined from the Base Bid Schedule. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
