Maxwell Parks and Recreation District is wrapping up the last week the town pool will be open for the summer with a number of special activities.

Today, Aug. 8, in addition to regular activities, swimmers can dive for treasure from 2 to 3 PM, but only if air quality permits pool opening, officials said.

“Bring an old sock to collect change from the bottom of the pool,” said Kyle Miller, MPR president. Today is a free swim day, thanks to the sponsorship of LZD Farms.

On Thursday, Aug. 9, a Water Jousting Tournament will be held from 3 to 4 PM. The free swim day is sponsored by Thomas Tile Cleaning Services.

On Friday, Aug. 10, Maxwell Parks and Recreation will host a Ping Pong Tournament from 3 to 4:30 PM. The pool is open for free thanks to an anonymous donor, Miller said.
