Natalie Corona follows in father’s footsteps

On August 2, Natalie Corona, 22, was sworn in to the Davis Police Department, following in the footsteps of her father – Merced Corona – who spent 26 years as a law enforcement officer at the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office.

Corona’s father had the honor of pinning his daughter’s badge last week.

Corona is a 2014 graduate of Pierce High School. She graduated from the Sacramento Police Academy on June 23, after receiving an Associate Degree in Administration of Justice from Yuba College. Corona is currently going through the Field Training Officer (FTO) program at the Davis Police Department.

“We are extremely proud of Natalie and all her accomplishments at such a young age,” Merced Corona said. “She is very excited to be a police officer and is very dedicated to the profession of law enforcement.”
