Marc Kyle Lovelace (1969-2018)

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Marc on June 7, 2018, at the age of 48.

Born in Willows CA on November 5, 1969, to Charles W and Twila Lovelace. Marc grew up in Maxwell, CA where he resided until the time of his death.

Marc is survived by his wife, Kimberly Vierra Lovelace, his son Conner Williams Lovelace, father Charles W. Lovelace, his siblings Katherine Lovelace (Robert Roudabush), Charles W. (Cindy) Lovelace Jr. Susan Lovelace (Ralph Keeley III), Lisa Lovelace, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his loving mother Twila McDow Lovelace and his favorite companion of a lifetime, Tarke.

Marc engaged in all sports in high school and was a member of several championship teams including football and baseball. He achieved all-league honors in the North Valley and Mid Valley Leagues.

Marc’s life revolved around family, the Raiders, A’s and Ag. He farmed for many years as well as worked in sales for Frontier Lubricants. His last employment was with the Glenn-Colusa Irrigation district where a work-related accident left him with a permanent disability. Marc had a love for shooting sports and hunting, particularly for waterfowl. He also had a gift with dogs which produced his all-time favorite, Tarke. He became a proficient duck caller and was successful in bagging his game; sometimes sharing with his family.

In recent years, some of his more favorite time was spent traveling to Salem, Oregon to watch Connor play football for Willamette University.

Marc enjoyed people, making friends wherever he happened to be, swapping stories and enjoying life.

He kept everyone up to date with phone calls or texts about his son Conner’s latest accomplishments, the best places to eat or something that Kim or her family had prepared especially wild game.

Marc enjoyed Mother Nature, the mountains, Sea Ranch, Lake Almanor and sometimes a little golf when he was able.

Born seven years after his youngest sister, Lisa, Marc was truly welcomed addition to the Lovelace clan. He proved to be our gift of 48 years, and he blessed his family with infinite wonderful memories that far exceeded his actual time spent with his family and many friends.

The Lovelace family invites you to join them at 4 PM on Friday, July 27 for the Celebration of Marc’s Life at the Scout Cabin, 901 Parkhill St, Colusa. Suits and ties are discouraged, casual and or camo encouraged.
