COLUSA COUNTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS

NOTICE OF DISTRICT ELECTIONS  AND ELECTIVE OFFICES TO BE FILLED

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Provisions of the Uniform District Election Laws and Elections Code of the State of California, that Governing Board Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in the Districts named below for the purpose of electing members to the following Boards of Directors:

Qualifications: Hold title to land within the district or legal representative of landowner.
Maxwell Irrigation District 3 4

Qualifications: Candidates shall be a landowner of the district.
Candidate filing period opens on Monday, July 29, 2019 and closes on Friday August 23, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.  If an incumbent officeholder does not file by that date, any other qualified candidate shall have until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 to file a Declaration of Candidacy.  Official Declarations of Candidacy (forms) may be obtained and filed at the office of the Colusa County Clerk located in the Hall of Records at 546 Jay Street, Suite 200, Colusa, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The office hours are extended to 5 p.m. on 8/23 & 8/28. In the event there are no nominees, or an insufficient number of nominees for an office, the office may be filled by appointment, unless a petition requesting election is filed by voters of the District or Division, pursuant to Elections Code 10515.  For additional information call 530-458-0500.
