Annual Cioppino feed to be held Saturday

Knights of Columbus member, Merced Corona refills the serving tray of chippino during the annual 'Taste of Italy' fundraising event.

The Knights of Columbus Council No. 14114 will offer the community a taste of Italy at its annual dinner and fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 19.  

The 12th Annual “A Taste of Italy” will be held from 4:30-7 PM at the Arbuckle Fire Hall, 506 Lucas St.

The dinner includes Cioppino or barbecue tri-tip, with all the trimmings, dessert, and a beverage. The event also includes a silent and live auction, raffles, and door prizes. 

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic-based fraternal organization engaged in charity. The local John Paul Council No. 14114 is comprised of members from Arbuckle, Williams, and Maxwell. All proceeds raised at the event go back into the community, organizers said. 

Tickets to “A Taste of Italy” are $25 for adults; children 6-12 $5. Children age 5 and under are free. 

Tickets can be purchased in advance through Friday at the Sacred Heart Parish office, 627 8th St., Williams, or by contacting Terry Wilderman at (530) 476-3269 or Brett Mulqueeney at (530) 219-4152. Tickets purchased at the door will be $30. ■
