The weekly classes, held at 10:30 AM, will focus on the foundational topics of Getting to Know Computers (May 7), Operating Computers (May 14), Introducing the Internet (May 21), Online Safety (May 28), Keyboarding (June 4, June 11), Microsoft Word (June 18), Microsoft Excel (June 25), Home Budgeting Basics (July 2), Communicating Online (July 9), Online Banking (July 16), and the Colusa County Free Library’s Online Library System (July 23).
These workshops will be offered through Through July 23 by Literacy Coordinator Alissa Morrow. To register, call 458-0373 or drop by the Colusa Library.
All materials will be provided, and space will be limited to 10 participants per workshop.
Additionally, the Colusa Branch also offers free weekly Computer Help Drop-in Sessions on Tuesday evenings, where those seeking assistance with technology, or who would like a specific digital question answered, can stop in for a one-on-one class from 5:30-7:15 PM.
“These individualized sessions occur in half hour to hour long segments, and can be drop-in or appointment based,” said Literacy Coordinator, Alissa Morrow.
Monthly classes and computer help drop-in sessions at the Arbuckle, Maxwell, Stonyford, and Williams branch locations are also available.
