Linda Bui ‘Nonnie’ Myers (1938-2019)


Linda Bui ‘Nonnie’ Myers, 81, of Colusa, died of natural causes on December 9, 2019 at Sutter Sacramento Medical Center.

Linda was born on September 10, 1938, in Redding, CA. She attended Shasta High School, then Chico State University.

She was the Medical Records Supervisor at Colusa Eskaton Hospital for 10 years. Linda worked for the Colusa County Clerks Office for two years before coming the Director of Medical Records at mad River Hospital in Arcata, CA, for 25 years. She finished her hospital career in 2016 at Colusa Regional Medical Center.

She was co-owner, bookkeeper and cake decorator for Franks Market in Colusa for 12 years.

She was known for her great culinary skills as co-owner of Chef Colus Restaurant and Bar and continued her love of cooking throughout her life.

She was an active member of the Women’s Catholic Relief Society in Colusa for many years.

Linda enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Brady Myers, Kelli Lawson, Randy Myers, and Kevin Myers; grandchildren: Brett Lawson, Mattison Myers, Mallory Lawson and Shayne Myers; son-in-law, Tony Lawson; daughter-in-law, Jamie Myers, and daughter-in-law Stephanie Myers.

She is also survived by her brother Douglas Carter Bui of Menlo Park, CA, and sister Sylvia Hurley of Reading, CA.

A celebration of life will be held at the Colusa Golf and Country Club on Dec. 21, 2019, at 2 PM.

Donations can be made in Linda’s name to the Colusa County Animal Shelter, 929 Bridge Street, Colusa, CA 95932. ■
