Football

Colusa enjoyed a win for their homecoming game against Willows on Oct. 4 with a score of 48-7. On Friday, the team will be away at Durham. An away game for Maxwell on Friday against Portola was a hard defeat of 54-20. On Oct. 11, the YellowJackets will have an away game in Alturas against the Modoc Braves. Pierce’s bye week returns with an away game in Willows against the Honkers on Friday. Princeton also ends bye week with an away game against Burney on Oct. 11. Williams on Friday will travel up to Mt. Shasta.

Volleyball

The Lady RedHaws had a Sept. 30 away in Durham and won 3-0 but fell to Willows 3-1 on Thursday. The team will play Oct 8 at home against Winters. 

Maxwell on Oct 1 had a home win against Esparto, 3-0, and Thursday saw another home game win against Core Butte at 3-0. In Biggs, the team will play on Oct. 8.

Pierce lost to Willows 3-2 on Oct 1, then lost 3-0 at an away game against Winters. The Lady Bears will have a tournament on Oct. 11. Princeton’s next game will be away against Downieville. Williams had a loss against Durham on Oct. 1 to the score of 3-0. On Thursday, Williams will play at home against Hamilton.

Track and Field

Pierce varsity Ari Sanchez sped through a 5k on Oct 2 and finished with a time of 23:57.33, while Keith Chavez ran a 19:06.39 and got third place for Colusa. For the JV teams competing, Pierce got first place with Joel Magallon running 13:30.35 and Lupita Perez finishing at 17:04.08, third place for Colusa. The next meet will be tonight in Durham.
