REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Colusa is opening the Request For Proposals (RFP) period for the Levee Park Re-Design project. RFP is available for download via the City’s website at: www.CityofColusa.com. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
The purpose of the Levee Park Re-Design project is to engage the community in a park design process guided by a professional landscape architecture firm who possesses experience working with public bodies for the creation of a conceptual Master Plan for Levee Park. Levee Park is owned by the City and runs adjacent to the Sacramento River. Between 2012-2020, the park was identified by citizens as an important part of the City’s recreation capacity as well as integral to the local tourism industry.
Applicants should be advised that this master planning project is paid for by a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture- Rural Development Department: Community Facilities Technical Assistance and Training (CFTAT). Any documentation and plan sets produced during this time will be part of the grant deliverables. The City administration is prepared to be a full partner in needed community engagement and should be counted in the Scope of Work.

The Levee Park Review Committee will be reviewing proposals between October 19th-23rd. Decisions will be announced on October 23rd. Anticipated start date is November 2nd with completion of all project deliverables by December 7th.
The City will hold on live Q&A webinar via Zoom for prospective applicants on Thursday October 8th. Details for accessing the webinar are available in the RFP.
