CITY OF COLUSA PLANNING COMMISSION – NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING (MIDSIZE SHOPPING CENTER/CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT)

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE PLANNING COMMISSION will hold a Public Hearing in the City Council chambers in the Colusa City Hall located at 425 Webster Street on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter.

The meeting is for the purpose of reviewing, and making a recommendation to the City Council on, the following items:

1. A Resolution of the City of Colusa Planning Commission recommending City Council approval of a General Plan Amendment, Rezoning and a Mitigated Negative Declaration relative to the potential development and operation of a mid-size shopping center with multiple retail businesses, including an anchor grocery or drug store, gas station/car wash, 3 fast-food restaurants with drive-through service windows, speculative retail business suites on approximately 6 acres of property, and related roadway and intersection improvements located at 1601 State Highway 20 and 1301 Wescott Road in Colusa.

2. A resolution approving a Conditional Use Permit to allow a residential unit within the existing commercially-developed on property located at 646 Main St. In accordance with City of Colusa Zoning Code Section 10.02 (a), residential dwellings in General Commercial (C-G) Zoning Districts require CUP approval by the Planning Commission.

Please be advised that the City Council Chambers are CLOSED to the public and that some, or all, Planning Commissioners may attend the meeting telephonically or otherwise electronically. The meeting will be held via webcast WITH NO PHYSICAL LOCATION FOR PUBLIC ATTENDANCE.

All interested parties are invited to submit comments to the Planning Department at planning@cityofcolusa.com before 5pm on July 22, 2020. Written comments can be mailed to the Planning Department at the above address. All comments received will be read aloud during the meeting.

Challenges to the Planning Commission’s decision may be limited only to those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Colusa at, or prior to, the public hearing.
