NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TO CONSIDER THE APPEAL OF THE COLUSA COUNTY GROUNDWATER COMMISSION’S DENIAL OF AN OUT-OF-COUNTY GROUNDWATER SUBSTITUTION WATER TRANSFER PERMIT AND AGREEMENT BY THE SYCAMORE MUTUAL WATER COMPANY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the COLUSA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS will conduct a Public Hearing on August 4, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. in the County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, 95932 to consider an appeal of the Colusa County Groundwater Commission’s denial of an Out-of-County Groundwater Substitution Water Transfer permit and agreement from Sycamore Mutual Water Company.

Said application requests approval to transfer a maximum of 2,862 acre-feet of surface water to San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority and replace this water with groundwater pumping. At a Special Meeting held on June 29, 2020, the Groundwater Commission denied the request for a permit. Sycamore Mutual Water Company has filed an Appeal of this decision to the Colusa County Board of Supervisors.
