CITY OF WILLIAMS PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Williams will hold a meeting on Monday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 810 “E” Street, Williams.  In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, please notify City Hall 72 hours prior to the meeting to arrange for special needs – (530) 473-5389.

All interested persons are invited to present written and / or oral comments on the matter being considered or may also submit an e-mail to mstegall@cityofwilliams.org prior to the meeting.  If you challenge these matters in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing(s) described in this notice, or in written correspondence submitted to the City Clerk at, or prior to, the public hearing(s).

NOTE: This meeting is being agendized to allow staff and the public to participate in the meeting via teleconference, pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 dated March 17, 2020.

Executive Order N-29-20 authorizes local legislative bodies to hold public meetings via teleconference and to make public meetings accessible telephonically to all members of the public and staff in effort to observe Social Distancing Recommendations.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the teleconference.

Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) Inc. Design Review application for 23 single family homes which are part of a Self-help housing program on existing lots in the Williams Eastside Project Unit 2, Phase 10. The homes are proposed on lots located on Heron Way, and White Oak Drive.  Assessor parcels 005-400-001, 005-400-031 to 040, 005-400-042 to 053, in the Neighborhood Conservation District (NC 61-6).

Holiday Inn Express Hotel.    Design Review and Site Plan Permit for a proposed Holiday Inn Express Hotel to be sited on approximately 1.90 acres on assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 005-420-001 located on Ruggeri Way. The proposed project would include the construction of a 43,373 square foot three story building.  The hotel will include 80 guest rooms, an indoor swimming pool, and fitness area.  The project is consistent with the City of Williams General Plan and Zoning Code.

The City of Williams is in the process of preparing an update to the City’s current General Plan, Housing Element.  The Housing Element addresses existing and future housing needs for all of Williams residents and economic groups.  The Planning Commission will be reviewing the draft 2020-28 Housing Element to consider public comments on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 810 E Street, Williams, CA.
