PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Williams will hold a public hearing on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chamber of City Hall, 810 “E” Street, Williams. In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, please notify City Hall 72 hours prior to the meeting to arrange for special needs – (530) 473-5389.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and present written and / or oral comments on the matter being considered or may also submit an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the meeting. If you challenge these matters in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing(s) described in this notice, or in written correspondence submitted to the City Clerk at, or prior to, the public hearing(s).
Stott Outdoor Advertising (Applicant) for General Plan Amendment GPA 2020-01 for amending the General Plan Land Use Map from Agriculture to Industrial and Zoning Map Amendment ZMA 2020-01 for amendment the Zoning Map from NC-61-1 (Neighborhood Conservation) to IN (Industrial) Conditional Use Permit Application for construction and installation of an on a 1,600 square foot area of a parcel containing 24.25 acres located at 400 Theatre Road (south side of Theatre Road, just west of Interstate 5), Assessor’s Parcel No. 016-320-012. These amendments are being made to accommodate installation of an Outdoor Advertising Billboard sign (also known as off-premise sign) The property is owned by the County of Colusa and is developed and occupied by the Colusa County Migrant Farm Housing.
The City has tentatively determined that this project will not result in a significant adverse impact on the environment and that the City is prepared to issue a “negative declaration” in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. This tentative determination is based on an environmental study that assesses the project’s potential environmental impacts. This study includes a complete description and illustrations of the project which is available for review at:
Final environmental determination on the project will be made by the City Council which has been recommended for approval by the Planning Commission.
