PUBLIC NOTICE
2020-28 HOUSING ELEMENT UPDATE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Williams will hold a public hearing with the City Council on October 21, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 810 E Street, Williams, CA to consider the following:

General Plan Amendment GPA 2020-02
for the 2020-28 Housing Element.

This involves an 8-year update to the City’s General Plan Housing Element,; a policy document for describing existing housing conditions, a review of resources available to facilitate new housing construction and a strategy that addresses goals, policies and programs for Williams housing needs. The State of California requires by law that the Housing Element be updated periodically.

The draft document is available for review during normal business hours at the City of Williams Public Counter at  810 E Street, Williams, CA 95987 and at the Williams Library at 901 E Street, Williams, CA 95987.  You can also download a copy of the document off the WEB at  https://www.cityofwilliams.org/departments/planning/housing_element.php

The City welcomes your comments on the plan and is soliciting additional comments that can help improve housing conditions in the City for the future.  Please submit any comments you have on the document in writing to:

ACTUALIZACIÓN DEL ELEMENTO DE VIVIENDA 2020-28

POR LA PRESENTE SE DA AVISO de que la Ciudad de Williams celebrará una audiencia pública con el Concejo Municipal el 21 de octubre de 2020 a las 6:00 p.m. en las Cámaras del Concejo Municipal en el Ayuntamiento en 810 E Street, Williams, CA para considerar lo siguiente:

Enmienda al Plan General GPA 2020-02
para el Elemento de Vivienda 2020-28.

Esto implica una actualización de 8 años del Elemento de Vivienda del Plan General de la Ciudad; un documento de política para describir las condiciones de vivienda existentes, una revisión de los recursos disponibles para facilitar la construcción de nuevas viviendas y una estrategia que aborda las metas, políticas y programas para las necesidades de vivienda de Williams. El estado de California requiere por ley que el Elemento de Vivienda se actualice periódicamente.

El borrador del documento está disponible para su revisión durante el horario laboral normal en el mostrador público de la ciudad de Williams en 810 E Street, Williams, CA 95987 y en la biblioteca de Williams en 901 E Street, Williams, CA 95987.
