Food bank tailgate event held

Colusa County Supervisor Denise Carter, from left, Carol Pearson, Logan Locvick, Maggie Roa, and Program Supervisor Lee Wells give away hundreds of pounds of farm fresh produce to Colusa County residents who drove through the parking lot behind the Colusa Boy Scout Cabin, on Friday. The North State Food Bank’s tailgate distribution of food helps people with food insecurity meet their nutritional needs. Supervisor Carter also handed out information encouraging people to avoid large social gatherings at this time, and the importance of face coverings to slow the spread of COVID-19. The next tailgate distribution of food will be held Sept. 11 at Arbuckle Family Action Center.
