Bizarre drug store burglaries baffle police

The Colusa Police Department is actively looking for two people who they believe used a large rock to break through the front door of Davison Drug & Stationary around 3:20 AM on Thursday.

The Williams Police Department is investigating a similar crime after the same suspects hit Fouch & Son Pharmacy in the same manner about an hour later.

Colusa Sgt. David Jackson said the two subjects are seen on video taking the rock out of a backpack and forcing entry into Davison Drug on Market Street.

“The suspects had masks and gloves on,” Jackson said, in a press release. “They remained in the store for approximately two minutes before leaving, but took no items.”

Video surveillance places the same two people and the same sedan at Fouch & Son around 4:25 AM, Jackson said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries should contact Jackson at 458-7777 or Williams Police Officer Jonathan Hindo at 473-2661.
