Grow West managers were alerted and arrived at the facility around 7:30 PM, and successfully implemented safety and containment protocols, according to President and CEO Ernie Roncoroni, in a statement.
“Overflow and containment capacity worked as it should to help contain the release,” Roncoroni said. “There were no injuries and the event was not a result of an equipment malfunction or failure.”
The site was cleared at 11:15 PM.
Roncoroni said there was no facility damage and operations were soon back to normal, with an internal investigation underway.
“Grow West safety and operations staff are reviewing all operational and safety protocols with employees and will be reporting details of the accidental release to the required state and local regulatory agencies,” he added. “Safety is a priority in all aspects of our company to ensure our employees, our customers, and our communities stay safe.”
