At about 8:50 PM, on Thursday, May 21, the Emergency Personnel were dispatched to a report of a collision.
CHP officials said in a press release, that upon arrival it was determined that the incident was a fatal collision involving a single occupant.
The driver was identified as Martin Rangel, 22, of Maxwell.
The CHP said in its initial investigation that it Rangel was driving a 2006 Chevy Colorado westbound on Maxwell-Colusa Road and for unknown reasons allowed the vehicle to veer off the road way and overturn.
Rangel was not wearing his seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the traffic collision.
The CHP said it has not determined if alcohol or drugs played a fact in the collision.
