It is with great sadness that we, the family of Beverly Jean Conner announce her passing on December 17, 2020 at the age of 91.
Beverly was born to Willis and La Vista Wilson on November 28, 1929 and lived her entire life in Maxwell. She married her high school sweetheart, Vernon Conner and enjoyed 40 years of marriage.
Beverly and Vernon built a life together farming rice, enjoying the outdoors especially hunting and fishing, and raising their two daughters to have the same passion.
When Vernon passed away in 1985, Bev became the matriarch of the family, where she helped raise her grandchildren and taught them to farm, work hard and play hard. She loved her evening cocktail and a great conversation to go with it.
Bev’s grandchildren gave her one of the greatest gifts, her great-grandchildren. She had the best seat in the house where she would rock them for hours, talking, singing and coloring. Her family will always remember her radiant smile and kind heart.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Urrutia and Danette (Jim) Vierra, both of Maxwell; three grandchildren, Kim Lovelace, Lance Jones and Danny (Addie) Vierra; eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Caroline Lee of Oregon.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Maxwell Cemetery, 5329 Maxwell Sites Road, Maxwell, CA 95955.
Memorial contributions to the Maxwell Cemetery are appreciated in lieu of flowers. ■
