This year especially, we are grateful for the blessings and gifts we have received.
The circumstances of our move were difficult at best, but as in all things the path was laid for us. The movers are scheduled now to arrive next Tuesday. It will be good to have that phase if the move completed.
Today marks the 14th day if our state mandated 14 day quarantine. Ironically with all that is going on around us I have no intention of rushing right out for close-up socializing.
Maybe as the weather warms we can have a few outdoor, at a distance visits in our back yard.
When sister Ann and I were growing up there wasn’t a great deal if money for extras, but one thing we always got was a new Easter dress and hat.
Often, the dresses were home sewn by our mother and grandmother. I think back now and wish I still had at least one of those dresses.
In comparison, I have for the last two weeks worn mainly pajamas. In the spirit of the new Easter outfit tradition I just ordered a new set. They are a fancy, cozy pair, so they can pass for ‘daywear.’ It’s not like anyone is coming for a visit anytime soon.
Last fall I had the pleasure of attending my friend Florence Ross’95th birthday celebration. This week, Florence took her final journey home. She held a special spot in many hearts. When someone like Florence passes they are always remembered well. I would suspect that Florence didn’t know the way she influenced so many of our lives. She was more than kind to all of us. Kindness goes further than we know.
God bless each of you.
Life is good today.
