Bench warrants totaling $210,000 were issued March 15 for the arrest of Sayed Naji Sayedi, 40, of Antioch, for failing to appear in Colusa County Superior Court. Sayedi is facing charges alleging second-degree robbery, corporal injury to a spouse, grand theft auto, unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle, cruelty to a child, and disobeying a domestic court order. Sayedi was arrested April 3, 2020 by the Williams Police Department. Sayedi, who pleaded not guilty on Nov. 20, has two prior failures to appear in court on these charges.

A $25,000 bench warrant was issued March 15 for the arrest of Miguel Angel Castillo, 28, of Williams, for failing to appear in Colusa County Superior Court as ordered to enter a plea. Castillo, who has a lengthy criminal history in Colusa County, appeared in court after his case was called on Monday but was asked by the bailiff to wait outside due to having COVID-19 symptoms. Castillo is facing charges alleging possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A $5,000 bench warrant was issued March 15 for the arrest of Jose Luis Benjamin Hernandez for failing to appear in Colusa County Superior Court. Hernandez pleaded no contest to DUI on Dec. 20, 2020, and was scheduled to appear to provide proof of enrollment in a court-ordered DUI program.§
