New District 2 Supervisor Daurice Kalfsbeek Smith took her seat on the Colusa County Board of Supervisors on Monday.Ā
Kalfsbeek was sworn in on Jan. 4 by Colusa County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey A. Thompson, in a brief ceremony at the courthouse. She replaced John Loudon, who retired at the end of 2020.Ā
Kalfsbeek, a fourth generation Colusa County resident, was elected on Nov. 3 to serve a four-year term.Ā
Kalfsbeek’s priorities for her first term are to work on the ambulance crisis and infrastructure that spurs job and housing development.Ā
District 3 Supervisor Kent Boes, who won his March 3 primary election outright, was sworn in for a second term, also on Monday.
