The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) released its latest issue of the Sacramento Valley Regional Almond newsletter that covers commercial almond orchard production practices.
Topics in this february issue include: General orchard practices from bloom through April, early season irrigation, cost-saving spray practices, new research on carbohydrates in nut crops, bee management at bloom, and tables listing fungicide timing and product efficacy information developed from UC research results.
Each issue of this newsletter is developed by UCCE Orchard advisors in the region: Franz Niederholzer (Colusa & Sutter/Yuba Counties), Katherine Jarvis-Shean (Solano/Yolo/Sacramento Counties) and Luke Milliron (Butte/Glenn/Tehama Counties).
