Portion of Maxwell Road closed due to culvert failure

“We recognize that this is a significant arterial road closure and appreciate patience and understanding as we work to address the damage,” Michael J. Azevedo, Director of Public Works, said in a prepared statement. “We are in the process of onboarding a Contractor as the scope of the repair is beyond the technical capacity and equipment capabilities of the Department of Public Works. Rest assured, we will be working diligently to repair the road as quickly and safely as possible.”

The closure will be in effect for a minimum of 10 business days, and travelers are asked to plan and take an alternate route during this time.

Maxwell Road serves as the primary connector between Interstate 5 and State Route 45.
