Eight Arbuckle FFA members earned the second highest degree that can be awarded when they received their State Degrees last month, according to chapter reporter Karina Gonzalez.

Gonzalez, along with Betsy Myers, Arian Hernandez, Fabiola Robles, Sarah Prendez, Ysenia Chavez, Kyle Howell and Luke Voorhees were the recipients who met the criteria for the degree, which includes being a member of FFA for a minimum of two years, having 360 hours of instruction in agricultural education, 25 hours of community service, in addition to earning and productively investing at least $1,000, or working at least 300 hours in excess of scheduled class time.

State degrees are a measure of leadership and accomplishment for those receiving the honor.
