Stonyford Rodeo to return

Mark your calendars for a fun-filled weekend in Stonyford, April 30-May 2.

After a year’s absence because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stonyford Rodeo will return in 2021 with three-days of amateur and top-flight professional rodeo action, including bull riding, saddle bronc riding, and steer wrestling. 

Rodeo weekend gets under way at 5 PM on Friday for the crowning of the Rodeo Queen, WPRA Breakaway Roping, Mutton Bustin’ and other events at the Brother Moore Arena. 

The second day, Saturday, May 1, begins with the Rodeo Breakfast 7-10 AM at the Fire Hall, and the Stonyford Rodeo Parade at 10 AM, followed by pro rodeo events at 1 PM. 

On Sunday, amateur events get underway at noon, and will include the Hyde Race.

General admission at the gate for Friday and Saturday events are $15 for adults; $7 for children. Tickets at the gate Sunday are $5 for 13 and older; Children 12 and under get in Free.
