Frankie Otero of Waldport Or. and long time resident of Colusa lost his battle with cancer on January 12, 2021. He was born in Puerto Rico in December of 1956.
Frankie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Frankie was also the lead custodian of WHS for the last 10 years.
Frankie was the heart of Waldport High School. He had a comforting voice, and he took the time to listen. Quick with a smile, and always getting people to laugh, Frankie was truly adored by students and staff alike. Frankie made a true impact at WHS and will be missed.
At home, Frankie loved to garden, his dogs and cherished his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Isabel Otero. Two daughters, Regina Otero-Greene of Waldport, Jamie Otero-Dawson of Sacramento, CA. Three grandchildren, Elise and Anna Greene of Waldport and Ruben Silva of Sacramento, CA. Three siblings, Maggie Ortiz and Maria Vasquez of Pawtucket, RI, and Victor Vasquez of Cambridge, MA.
There will be a celebration of life held in his honor that will be announced at a later date. ■
