Rain or the lack of it is on our minds these days. As much as we’ve enjoyed our beautiful weather lately, we know to survive we need precious rains.
All creatures, big and small, need water. Pray for rain.
I see we had a bit last night, but we’ll need a lot more.
It’s been a busy week for me. I’m grateful for it though. The past year of isolation about did me in.
I had my yearly physical this week as well. Like so many others, I suspect part of this year’s questions for me were about coping and depression. Honestly, I’ve always been prone to a little depression or anxiety. I’m also prone to be a fighter, so I’ve usually been able to hold it back.
I know there are others out there who aren’t as lucky. Depression or anxiety are terrible things. They don’t show outward physical wounds, but the hurt is deep.
I’m praying for everyone that struggled this past year and who continues to struggle. There is help out there if you need it. It is nothing to be ashamed of, and asking for help is your first best step.
So my phone is on it’s last leg. It doesn’t hold a charge and it has the ever-present ‘do-ink’ going on every few seconds. Unfortunately, the phone isn’t in stock so I’m waiting a week to get one. It seems a lot of things at a lot of stores these days are on backorder. Believe it or not, I’ve been waiting two months for an order for seasoned sea salt to arrive!
But, like most of us, I’m connected to my phone and I need a new one. Do I?
The blessing for the week was getting to watch the grandkids play sports. Lea plays volleyball and Kohen plays basketball. Although it made for a few trips out of town, it was well worth it. I love seeing the kids get out there and try.
Life is good today.
