While everyone in the RedHawk lineup had at least one hit, the day belonged to senior Makayla Frias, who hit for the cycle and drove in four runs as well.
Frias, the Colusa third baseman, tripled in the first inning and followed up with a homerun in the fourth, before singling in the sixth inning and doubling in the final frame.
Junior Abby Wolf doubled and had two RBI as she picked up four hits in five trips to the plate.
Senior Emily Pingrey and junior Abby Myers each collected three hits, with Pingrey smacking a pair of doubles while Myers added one.
Also having multiple hit performances were juniors Reese Roper and Anahi Guzman, who both had two hits.
Earning the win in the circle was sophomore Avery Lay who went six innings, striking out 10 and scattering four hits before yielding to Roper, who closed out the game in the seventh.
Colusa (1-0) played in Middletown on Friday, March 26, although results were not reported and had games scheduled against Woodland Christian at home on Monday and Gridley on Wednesday before travelling to Maxwell this afternoon.
