Colusa JV baseball holds off Princeton

Colusa’s JV baseball team edged the visiting Princeton Eagles on March 23, in a five-inning game that was called due to time.

Seth Kalisuch was the winning pitcher, putting in three innings on the mound, where he gave up four hits, one earned run, and struck out three.

Hayden McCarty doubled, reached base four times, and scored three runs, while Bo Coronado finished 1 for 2 with 2 RBI.

Eagles pitcher Chris Winn had a solid outing, striking out seven and issuing just one hit and two earned runs in the hard-luck loss.

The top hitters for Princeton were Alex Winn, who went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI, along with Juan Andrade, Jr., who was 2 for 4 and also drove in a pair of runs.

Colusa (2-0) was in Chico on Wednesday to take on Pleasant Valley and returns home to play Pierce today at 4 PM.
