Williams’ boys’ soccer has successful week

Last week was a good one for the Williams boys’ soccer team as they played their longtime rival Hamilton City to a 1-1 draw before easily handling Paradise by a score of 7-1.

Last Monday in Hamilton City, the Braves jumped out to a first-half lead, but Omar Lomeli booted the equalizer in the second half to force the tie.

On Thursday, April 8, the ‘Jackets proved ungracious hosts to visiting Paradise as they took an early 2-1 lead then came back strong in the second half to score five unanswered goals.

Lomeli got things started for Williams scoring with an assist from Alex Mora, while Adrian Solis drilled a penalty kick.

After intermission Mora got into the act of finding the back of the net off an assist from Jesus Gutierrez who also recorded a brace as did Adan Jauregui with his pair of goals.

Williams (2-1-1) is off this week but will return to the pitch on Monday, April 19.
