There is a new face on the Williams Police Department, born and raised in Yuba City, Officer Cory Lucich chose Williams as he is drawn to the agricultural aspects, hunting and fishing that the area has to offer. A natural protector, Lucich hopes to make a difference in our community.

“The [people] in this community have been very nice and welcoming,” said Lucich, “I feel that this department is the best fit; that it just feels right.”

Lucich became a cop because he really enjoys helping people, and wanted a job in a field that would affect people in a positive way.

“I want my family to be proud of me” said Lucich

Lucich and his wife Allicia have a two year-old daughter and another on the way.

“My father is my hero” said Lucich, “he is a hard worker, a business owner in Yuba City, and someone that I look up to.”

Lucich would like the citizens of Colusa County to know that he is approachable.

“Everyone should feel free to approach him with any questions or concerns that you may have” said Lucich, “I am here to help this community.”

The community welcomes Officer Lucich to Williams, and we look forward to seeing you out there protecting our streets. ■
