The Williams Fire Protection Association attended the Monster Jam in Sacramento at the Sleep Train Arena on January 17th and 19th, 2014.

Nine Williams Fire Volunteers attended to help the California Firefighters’ Association recruit volunteer emergency responders.

The Williams Fire Volunteers helped answer questions and take applications of interested parties.

In early 2013, Colusa County was awarded $972,050 SAFER (Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response) Grant by the Department of Homeland Security. Since then, the grant has recruited 29 volunteers within the county. Active volunteers have been earning a monthly benefit for over a year now as a retention effort. This benefit goes to 401k, medical insurance premiums, daycare expenses, or tuition.
