A Placerville Woman was arrested on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at approximately 1:36 PM by the California Highway Patrol after allegedly brandishing a firearm at another motorist traveling, eastbound on Highway 20 near Walnut Drive, in Williams.
According the California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched after a receiving a report of a female passenger in a Ford Expedition brandishing a firearm at another motorist.
California Highway Patrol Officers and a Williams Police Officer observed the Expedition on Highway 20 and made a high-risk stop near the Southbound Interstate 5 on-ramp.
A 17-year-old driver and her 49-year-old passenger were both detained without incident.
Officers located a loaded revolver inside a fanny pack that was on the front passenger floorboard.
The juvenile was questioned at the scene and released.
49-year-old Colleen Brusseau was questioned and taken into custody. Brusseau was arrested for exhibiting a firearm in a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon on her person in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle without being the registered owner. She was booked into the Colusa County Jail, and bail was set at $15,000.
