Tickets are now available for what will notably proclaim as the ‘event of the season’.
Taking you back to a decade of tension and transition, the Citizens for a Better Williams will dazzle guests in 1940’s fashion as they host their second annual fundraising dinner, “Fall in the 40’s”.
On Saturday, October 10, 2015, a delicious gourmet meal will be served to guests in the upstairs dining hall of the ‘Tuscan Lodge”.
“We will pay homage to the 1940’s with unique decorations, a USO tribute room, and a one of a kind swing jazz band,” said Pat Ash, Citizens for a Better Williams President.
Sister Swing is a fresh, exciting trio of singers who’ve captured the Big Band Swing era and brought it to the 21st century. Heavily influenced by groups like the Andrews Sisters, the Boswell Sisters, and Manhattan Transfer, Sister Swing brings a new sound to an old style.
The three ladies, Leigh Hannah, Valerie Marston and Paula Chafey-Merrill, genuinely have a good time on stage, and that transcends to their audience. An evening with Sister Swing will take you back in time to an era of glamour, romance and innocence. Backed by their solid 6-piece backup band, the gals have gathered their custom charts especially tailored to show off their style and vocal power.
Guests will experience a tasteful evening starting at 6:00 p.m. for cocktails and appetizers.
Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. featuring a delectable bacon wrapped petite tenders and cedar plank salmon dinner prepared by Rocco’s Bar & Grill.
Guests will also enjoy a live and silent auction; featuring vacation trips and other excellent items.
“This is going to be an event like no other,” said Armstrong.
Tickets are limited and are $65 per person, or $100 per couple. Tickets can be purchased at New Attitude Salon in Williams or with any CBW Member.
Although not necessary, the group suggests if anyone is in a festive mood to arrive in 1940’s themed attire to enhance the overall theme of the event.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend, and a Tipsy Taxi will be available at no charge to help guests arrive safely home from their enchanted evening.
