Pierce Student to Compete for Teen Title

IMG_7283Olivia Vasquez of Arbuckle was recently selected to participate in the 2015 Miss Junior Teen Sacramento pageant competition that will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2015.

14-year-old, Vasquez is a Freshmen at Pierce High School, and her plans include attending college and becoming a doctor.

Vasquez learned of her acceptance into this year’s competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviews held in the Sacramento area. Vasquez submitted an application and took part in an interview session conducted by this year’s pageant coordinator.

Vasquez will be competing, for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts.

The Miss Junior Teen competition is one of four divisions that will have young ladies ages of 7 and 19 competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. Most importantly, contestants will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with this year’s Sacramento/Stockton judging panel.

If Vasquez were to win the title of Miss Junior Teen Sacramento, she would represent the Sacramento and the surrounding communities at the National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Florida. There she will have the chance to be awarded over $30,000.00 in prizes.

Vasquez is currently seeking the help and support of community businesses, organizations and private organizations by becoming an official sponsor to her. Sponsorship’s allow Vasquez to receive all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support which will allow her to become a very confident and well-prepared contestant.

Any business, organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Vasquez may contact the Miss Junior. Teen Sacramento/Stockton pageant coordinator, at 1-877-403-6678.■
