Ampla Health Receives $10,500 to Provide Innovative High-Quality Care

Blue Shield of California Foundation announced today that it is awarding $ 10,500 in unrestricted funds to Ampla Health. As a longstanding ally to safety net providers across the state, the Foundation trusts that Ampla Health will put these flexible funds to their highest and best use in the service of California’s most vulnerable populations.

“We are committed to providing core operating funding to support the community health centers working on the frontlines of California’s of vibrant healthcare safety net,” said Peter Long, PhD, president and CEO of Blue Shield of California Foundation.  “Our continued investment in Ampla Health reinforces our confidence in their ability to respond to challenges and opportunities while continuing to ensure access to care to low-income residents of six rural Northern California counties (Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba Counties) through thirteen (13) medical facilities, with six (6) integrated dental centers.

The Foundation is proud to partner with California’s safety net providers through this grant, and other philanthropic investments in community health centers across the state.
