Williams to Celebrate Festival of Lights – December 12

WPR2014_FestivalofLights (12)Harvest may be over, but it’s time to break out the christmas lights and start planning for the eighth annual Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday, December 12, 2015, in Downtown Williams.

“You don’t need to be a Williams resident or business to participate!,” said Citizens for a Better Williams, President Pat Ash, “we invite all Colusa County Businesses, Organizations, Schools, Churches, and community members who want to decorate their vehicles, tractors, trucks, bycicles, or trailers with a general christmas theme.”

“We have no theme during the festival of lights – other than all things Christmas,” said Ash.

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, a celebration of the season will kick off with a Downtown Holiday Stroll beginning at 5:00 P.M.

Street vendors, small businesses, homemade crafts and goodies will line ‘E’ Street between 6th and 7th. Come browse and find hidden treasures while socializing with friends and family.

There might even be a surprise visit from Santa!

At 6:30 PM the Town Square Christmas Tree will be ceremoniously lit and the parade of lights will begin at 7:00 PM.

The parade route will start on 7th Street near Louis Cairos and end on E Street near the Sacramento Valley Museum.

The event will be hosted rain or shine, the vendor, and the parade must go on.
